Responding to the still-unsolved status of the much-publicized murder on Music Row, there is a New Sheriff in town.
In an effort to protect and serve the creative community New Sheriff Creative Enterprises, Inc.announces the official opening of its offices.
After months of undercover development, John Van Meter, fifteen-year industry veteran and former Director of Creative Services, Sony/ATV Music, has publicly accepted the position of Chief Creative Officer to supervise all aspects of the new station.
As to its ongoing investigation into the murder on Music Row, the New Sheriff has a growing list of suspects. No arrests have been made. The New Sheriff asks that anyone with information that may lead to the resolution of this crime contact the Nashville office at 615.386.3256 (All sources protected.)

Jamie Hartford Band makes "Stuff That Works".
The Nashville-based root-rockers, the Jamie Hartford Band, have released their latest set, "Stuff That Works". The disc was produced by Dave Pomeroy and includes three New Sheriff songs: "Who Am I To Change Your Mind", "Whole World", and "When You Gonna Come Around". (go to listening area)

Nashville T-party !!

Boston-based rock band, T, came to Nashville to record at the famed Sound Emporuim studios. Producing for New Sheriff were Tim Lauer and John Van Meter, with each recording three sides. Mixes have begun to circulate, as the first masters are due by mid-May. (go to T page)
Tim Schumacher completes solo project.

New Deputy Music writer, Tim Schumacher has completed his solo recording project. The package includes twelve songs written, or co-written, by Tim and features appearances by Simon Bruce, Jonell Mosser, and Johnny Staats.

Jamie Hartford plays on Johnny Cash soundtrack.
New Sheriff writer/artist and guitar virtuoso, Jamie Hartford was booked to play electric guitar by famed producer T-Bone Burnette ("Oh Brother..") on the soundtrack for the upcoming feature film about the early life and times of Johnny Cash.
Joining him on the sessions were Norman Blake and "Cowboy" Jack Clement, among others.
As Jamie says, "I got Lutherized."

Jamie Hartford is to perform aboard the "Belle of Louisville" as part of the annual 'John Hartford Memorial Cruise' on October 8, 2004. The cruise takes place as Louisville, KY is hosting the annual IBMA convention. Jamie will join a host of pickers and singers in tribute to his late father.
